The 3rd TANGO User Forum will be held in Stresa, Italy on 14th - 15th October 2009 organised by the Directorate General Joint Research Center (DG JRC).

Objectives of the User Forum
The purpose of the User Forum will be to share the demonstrations results that leverage satellite based telecommunication services to address Risk & Crisis, Maritime, Fisheries, Humanitarian Aid or Security policies.
The forum agenda will dedicate time for TANGO outcomes presentations and for discussions where GMES services providers and end-users will be able to provide their feedback and expectations for future improvements.
The forum will address issues of the future of GMES telecommunication with invited speakers from GMES and Satellite community as well European and International organizations.

Invited Speakers will provide their testimony on usage of telecommunications in GMES services,  their  expectations for enhancements and their vision on the future integration of telecommunications in GMES operations

The participants will be divided in some thematic groups. They will be able to discuss in details the TANGO demonstration outcomes and provide their feedback on the usage of telecommunications, the CTSP platform and suggested improvements for the future.

Image An international tourist resort situated in a central but also panoramic and picturesque position along the lakeside roadway stands just in front of the Borromee isles.
Since the second half of nineteenth century up to the first decades of the twentieth, when the first English tourists arrived, Stresa, whose hotels and villas built in Liberty style make it unique, assumed its peculiar, elegant look. Nowadays it is a renowned holiday resort as well as an important seat of cultural manifestations, meetings and international congresses also thanks to its well-developed hotel system.

  

Stresa is about 45Km far from Malpensa airport and 110 Km from Linate airport.

By taxi (around 40 minutes): the price from Malpensa to Stresa is around 90 euro

By renting a car: taking the highway A26 direction Gravellona Toce and exiting at Carpugnino

From Linate airport:
It is necessary to take a Shuttle bus to the “Centrale” railway station and from there take a train to Stresa (towards Domodossola or Ginevra=Geneva)

The TANGO user forum will be held at the Hotel “La Palma”.
